The Revisionists is a writers group which was
formed in 1991. The group, which is funded by the Saskatchewan
Writers Guild, meets once a month to read and critique each
other’s work.
Our
writers work in many genres: fiction, non-fiction, memoirs
and poetry. Some of the members have been published,
while others regard their writing as a hobby.
The Revisionists have established writers come in to do workshops, and occasionally
go on weekend writing retreats together. Once a year we give a public reading
of our work at the library.
Currently the members of the Revisionists are:
Larry Warwaruk of Outlook, Margareta Fleuter and Alena Saxton
of Demaine, Sharon MacFarlane, Lois Meaden, Tamara Wanner
and Tammy Wiens of Beechy, and Helen Mourre of Sovereign.
We
meet at the Beechy Public Library the third Wednesday of
every month (except July, August and September)
at 5.30 p.m.
We are open to new members.
